Blaney not pleased with closure of Comox Marine Communication Centre

The Member of Parliament for the North Island – Powell River riding says that she’s disappointed to see the Comox Marine Communication and Traffic Services Centre close.

The centre will close tomorrow.

New Democrat Rachel Blaney says she’s heard concerns from constituents up and down the coast.

Blaney says the move does not make sense.

Blaney notes that the Comox centre is the only one on the coast that is not in a Tsunami zone and also recently received seismic upgrades.
