Major RCMP investigation in Port Alice

Port Alice RCMP, with the assistance of the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit, are investigating the deaths of an adult male and an adult female at a home in Port Alice. The deaths were reported to police at around 9:45 am on September 9th, 2014. The pair were located in the residence, deceased.

The identities of the deceased will not be released at this time, pending notification of their next of kin. Preliminary information suggests that there is no risk to community safety as a result of this incident…We spoke with RCMP Corporal Darren Lagen…

The BC Coroners Service has been notified, and is working with investigators to determine the details surrounding these deaths.
