Be careful in the woods

The Coastal Fire Centre is asking people to be careful in the woods this weekend.

Donna MacPherson says there’s a lot of outdoor activity that people do in the bush that they don’t realize might spark a wildfire.

MacPherson notes it has been dry this year, with 22 fires so far in the Coastal Fire Centre region.

MacPherson says campfires are still allowed, but is urging people to be extra diligent about ensuring the fire is out before you leave your campsite.
