RCMP celebrating police week

It’s National Police Week, a week that’s been recognized throughout Canada since 1970.

Comox Valley RCMP Constable Rob Gardner says the detachment will be holding a couple of events to promote the week and answer any questions the public might have.

He says the first event goes tomorrow at the Thrifty Foods in the Crown Isle plaza, with the second event at the Cumberland Museum on Thursday.

He notes that the week and these events give police a chance to meet with the community.

Gardner says it’s important that residents know what the RCMP do for the Comox Valley. Both events run from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at both locations.
