District 71 Superintendent fires back on running International Student Program

Comox Valley teachers say they’re extremely disappointed about it…but Comox Valley School District Superintendent Sherry Elwood says nobody should be shocked the international student program is up and running at Lake Trail School.

Elwood says about 170 international students are enrolled…

Elwood says the normal school curriculum is not being taught to the international students, adding there was a binding contract between the district and the students that could not be scrubbed.

The BC teachers strike continues with no sign of formal negotiations resuming.
