BC Ferries adding extra sailings for the long weekend

BC Ferries is adding extra sailing times to the major routes for the long weekend.

Spokesperson Deborah Marshall says BC Ferries is expecting a busy weekend, starting later today , they’ll be adding 70 extra sailing times.

She says they expect that the traffic increase will carry through to the holiday Monday. Marshall says they’ve noticed a lot of customers taking the Friday off over the past few years.

Marshall says you can check out current conditions on their website to see how busy the ferry is before heading out and planning your trip.
