BC schools to receive substantial funding

Schools across British Columbia will be receiving some infrastructure upgrades. The province is providing funding for over 80 projects at different schools across 60 districts in BC.

Education Minister Mike Bernier says this is a win for teachers, staff and students in schools.

Bernier says this is about improving school structures for the future.

Bernier says the funding is coming out because of the strong economy in British Columbia, and it will help upgrade heating systems as well as roof replacements at schools across the province.

The funding comes from the School Enhancement Program.
