Courtenay Fire crews responded to a structure fire last night.
Assistant Fire Chief Dennis Henderson says it broke out on Arden road. Upon arrival, crews noticed some light smoke coming from the structure.
Henderson notes that no one was home, and the firefighters had to force their way into the building.
Henderson says the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
