The Comox Valley School Board has appointed a new Superintendent.
Doctor Doug Lindquist will take over the top job at the District this summer.
Board Chair Tom Weber says the board was looking for specific skills and experience in its search.
Lindquist takes over from former Superintendent Sherry Elwood, who left the district earlier this year to take a job on the lower mainland.
