The Baynes Sound Connector has broken down.
BC Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall says the ferry has stalled mid-way between Buckley Bay and Denman Island with 25 passengers on board.
She says the vessel suffered a mechanical issue. She notes that the vessel will be towed back to Buckley Bay.
Water taxi service will be running on the route until the ferry is back up and running.
