The Weather Network is forecasting an average summer for our region.
The network has released its seasonal outlook.
Spokesperson Tyler Hamilton says we’re also seeing a transition from El Nino – which has dominated our weather recently. He says they’re already seeing signals for the La Nina.
He notes that we should be seeing “near-normal” precipitation levels on the North Island.
Hamilton says we’ll likely have a cooler summer than we’ve seen the last few years, with averages closer to our usual highs in the low 20’s.
