Updating the Critical Incident Protocol for the Comox Valley

The Comox Valley Community Justice Centre is working to update the Critical Incident Protocol for the Comox Valley. The protocol is an agreement on how to respond to incidences of racism or hate-crimes.

President Anne Davis says the update includes how to deal with social media issues, which are much more prevalent now than when the protocol was originally signed 7 years ago.

Davis appeared before Comox Council this week, asking for council to sign on to the new version of the protocol. The signing ceremony will be taking place later this year.
