Courtenay Fire and BC Ambulance rescue mountain biker

The Courtenay fire department helped rescue a mountain biker Sunday night.

Captain Greg Lamb says it happened at Sandwick Park. He says crews assisted BC Ambulance at the park off of Muir Road. The biker suffered an ankle fracture from a 20 foot fall while he was biking.

Lamb says the biker was transported to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
