A new poll from the Vancouver Aquarium has found that most Canadians think not enough is being done to protect the ocean. The poll was done for World Oceans Day.
CEO of the Aquarium Marine Science Centre, John Nightingale, says the poll found that 75% of people don’t think we’re doing enough to protect the ocean.
Nightingale says the poll showed a surprising strength of awareness and interest from Canadians in the ocean. He adds they will continue to expand their research, and action programs to raise awareness of ocean issues.
