Plans are being looked at to bring fire fighting to Mount Washington.
Area Director for Puntledge-Black Creek, Edwin Grieve says being a resort community with a small number of year-round residents makes it challenging to find a model that would work.
He says the plan now would be to store firefighting equipment on the mountain.
Property owners and the regional district are looking at a referendum to get approval to introduce the fire protection service.
That referendum is set for the fall.
