Chairlift rides open this weekend at Mount Washington

Mount Washington Alpine Resort’s summer season gets underway this weekend.

Resort spokesperson Sheila Rivers says the chairlift rides begin running this weekend and next. She says it’s a way to kick-start the summer season at Mount Washington.

She says the chairlift rides offer incredible views and are a great way to show off the beauty of the Comox Valley and surrounding areas.

Rivers says they’ve had a lot of interest in summer activities following the announcement that the bike park will be returning this summer.

She says they are hoping to have the trails open in mid-July.
