Relay for Life 2016 brings community together

Members of the Comox Valley community gathered together at GP Vanier’s track last night for the 2016 Relay for Life.

Spokesperson Tracy Berg says funds raised go towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

She says that if you couldn’t make it to the event, there are still ways to donate. You can drop off donations at the Canadian Cancer Society office on Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay, or donate online.

Berg says it’s a great way to honor those who lost their lives to cancer.

Over $100,000 was raised at this year’s event.
