First Nations Summit Welcomes Treaty Action Plan

The First Nations Summit is welcoming a new action plan to improve the treaty negotiation process in BC.

The plan was developed with the Summit, the Province and the Federal Government.

Summit spokesperson Robert Phillips says the goal is to improve and expedite negotiations.

Phillips says he believes having these agreements in place will help to enhance rural British Columbia.

Phillips says one of the other goals is to increase public awareness of the treaty process and its importance for all the people of BC.
