Anderson successfully defends championship

Comox Valley mixed martial artist Chris ‘Bukwas‘ Anderson is still the pro welterweight champion of the Battlefield Fight League after defeating Curtis Harriott last night.

Anderson beat Harriott via knockout at the 3:53 mark of the first round. The fight was a part of Battlefield Fight League 44 at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam.

Harriott suffered his only amateur and first pro loss on March 12th at BFL 42 in Richmond in a fight against Anderson, who won the title that night.

Last night’s main event was the first time in Battlefield Fight League history that a former champion was given an automatic rematch.
