Comox looking at options for Mack Laing Nature House

The Town of Comox is looking at options for the Mack Laing Nature House.

Council has received a report from the Advisory Committee, recommending that Shakesides not be kept.

Mayor Paul Ives says when the town was gifted the house several decades ago, there was not enough funds in the trust to establish a museum.

Ives says staff will now prepare a report on what options the town has. Ives says the idea is to create a viewing platform in conjunction with the existing walkway.

The report is scheduled to come back before council in July.
