Road upgrades have begun on Robb Avenue in Comox.
Mayor Paul Ives says they were waiting until school was out before the work got underway. He says the work will include road widening, better crosswalks, sidewalks on the North side of the road. He notes that all the upgrades will add a measure of safety, especially around the school area.
Ives notes traffic on Robb will be restricted to residents only while the work is underway – all other road users are asked to use Noel or other alternate routes.
