Celebrating Canada

Canada Day celebrations brought out the crowds in the Comox Valley.

The community came together to celebrate the country and enjoy a variety of activities including the parade down 5th Street in Courtenay.

It was a time to celebrate Canadian heritage and the multiculturalism that is so prominent within the community and around the country.

Liz Datoo immigrated to Canada many years ago, and says the country has been so welcoming.

John North says he immigrated to Canada just over 10 years ago. North says he loves the country and is amazed at the amount of equal opportunities Canada has to offer.

Multiple people made their way to Lewis Park in Courtenay for the Canada Day festivities.
