Property taxes due today

Today is the deadline to pay your property taxes.

Anne Guillo with the City of Courtenay says it’s important to make sure you pay and claim your home owner grant before the deadline. She notes that even if you are not paying your property taxes on time, you need to claim your home owner grant by 4:30 PM today in order to avoid a penalty.

Any amount not paid by the end of the day will be hit with a 10% penalty.
