RCMP make drug bust

More than a dozen charges are being recommended following a drug bust south of Courtenay.

Comox Valley RCMP Constable Rob Gardner says two search warrants were executed in residences in Royston and Union Bay.

Gardner says some of the items seized were: suspected Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Psilocybin (commonly referred to as “Magic Mushrooms”), a substance believed to be Ketamine, suspected Oxycontin pills and a quantity of cash.

Gardner says a total of 13 charges are being recommended. A 49-year-old man and 30-year-old man have made their first court appearance. A third man has been released on a promise to appear.

Gardner adds that if you see any suspicious activity in your neighborhood, contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 or CrimeStoppers.
