Oyster River Fire Department now has a full-time deputy chief.
Fire chief Bruce Green says Chris Murray has been hired to be a full-time deputy chief for the department. Green says that Murray will help with developing training programs to meet the provincial standards.
Green says having a full-time deputy will allow for more flexibility in the training schedule, to ensure all the volunteers and staff have fully up-to-date training.
