3 prolific offenders picked up by police

Three prolific offenders have been taken off the streets in the Comox Valley.

RCMP recently picked up three suspects following a spike in thefts from, and of, vehicles.

Constable Rob Gardner says crime stats in the valley show that a significant amount of crime is done by prolific offenders.

Between June 1st and July 12th, police received 73 calls regarding thefts from vehicles and 14 reports of stolen cars.

Gardner says it’s important to make sure you keep your car doors secure and keep valuables out of sight.
