Trevena hoping Ferries can become a public service

The North Island NDP MLA is still pushing for BC Ferries to become a public service rather than a for-profit company.

Claire Trevena says issues the Sunshine Coast has been having with ferries are chaotic, which is a result of government negligence of BC Ferries. Trevena says communities have been left with no support at all.

Trevena says the brand new polish ferries that were supposed to come this summer are already six month late, and there aren’t enough ferries to serve as backups.
