19 Wing Comox crews taking part in RIMPAC exercise

Members from 19 Wing Comox are some of the many participating in RIMPAC.

The world’s biggest maritime exercise is in its 25th year and 26 countries are involved.

Rear-Admiral Scott Bishop says it’s an extremely important exercise. He says it creates a great venue for countries around the Pacific to work and train together in a variety of scenarios.

Bishop says over 65 members of 19 Wing Comox are on hand.

He notes that 19 Wing Comox Commander Tom Dunne has played a major part in the training.

RIMPAC wraps up on Thursday. The next exercise will be in 2018.
