Tour de Rock ready to hit the streets

Just about time for riders with the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock to hit the road! We spoke with Tour Coordinator Katie Crowe, who says the Island wide campaign gets underway this weekend on the North Island.

Crowe says with school down for the count in recent weeks, their fundraising tally will likely take a hit. In past years students would have already carried out tons of school fundraisers by now.

Small communities…with big hearts…that year in and year out come through in a very big way for the Tour de Rock.
Sums up the response from North Island communities such as Port Alice, Port Hardy, Port McNeil, Sayward and Woss.

The Tour de Rock raises funds to send sick kids to Camp Goodtimes, a welcome reprieve from the daily grind of intensive cancer treatments.
