RCMP looking for suspect after female jogger assaulted

Comox Valley RCMP is looking for a suspect after a female jogger was assaulted in Comox.

It happened around 10:30 Thursday morning.

Police say the woman was running through Condor Park in Comox when a male grabbed her.

She was able to fight him off – the suspect then fled onto Robb Rd.

The suspect is described as 5’8″ to 5’11” with a medium build and possibly dark hair.

He was wearing blue plaid pyjama pants, a blue or grey hoodie, possibly with white writing on the front.

Police are reminding the public to use caution when using parks and trails and to remain vigilant of their surroundings.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
