Construction begins on North Courtenay Connector

Construction is getting underway on the new North Courtenay Connector.

The new road will provide a new connection between Headquarters and Piercy road to provide a more direct connection to the Inland Island Highway.

District Manager with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Janelle Erwin says the work will include a new, two-lane bridge across the Tsolum River.

The goal is to have the new route complete by the time the new Comox Valley Hospital opens in fall of next year.
