The Comox Valley RCMP is investigating a collision that took the life of a 92-year-old pedestrian.
Officials say the incident happened yesterday evening at around 6:20 PM at the intersection of Torrence and Guthrie Road in Comox. The pedestrian was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained on scene and was very co-operative with police. The Comox Valley RCMP Municipal Traffic Section, the RCMP Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, and the BC Coroners Service are looking into the incident.
