Duke and Duchess to visit Bella Bella

A Coastal First Nation is preparing for some international attention next month.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be including Bella Bella in their tour of BC next month.

Heiltsuk First Nation Chief Marilyn Slett says it’s an opportunity to move closer to reconciliation with Canada. Slett says part of it is taking a look at the past, but also looking at what can be done going forward in regards to reconciliation.

The Duke and Duchess will arrive in Victoria on September 24th and will be in Bella Bella on September 26th.
