Members of Powell River Fire Rescue have added to their skill set thanks to a training session in Comox.
Chief Terry Peters says two members, including new Deputy Chief Rocky Swanson, took part in the training.
The pair took part in thermal-imaging training with the Comox Fire Department on the weekend. Peters says thermal-imaging has made a big difference in how crews fight fires.
Peters says it’s a huge advantage to Powell River to have the training centre available in Comox.
