Huge turnout in valley teachers vote
BC Students are heading back to school after their teachers voted 86 per cent in favour of a new contract.
Local teachers president Nick Moore says teachers came out in droves to vote on the deal, approving it in the range of the provincial vote, at around 86 percent or so….
Moore says the deal is not perfect, but some key gains were achieved for teachers.
Moore says discussion over various education issues is not about to go away…
Its back to class Monday for Comox Valley students, with a half day session, on Tuesday a regular school day is set to go.
