Minister visits North Island

The Minister of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development has wrapped up a tour of the North Island. Peter Fassbender spent the week visiting Northern areas like Campbell River and Port McNeill.

He says it’s important to be able to visit individual communities and hear first-hand about the challenges and opportunities in those regions. He says he’s very impressed with the entrepreneurial spirit shown in communities across the North Island.

Fassbender says the government will continue to push for initiatives that will help support economic growth, like the expansion of broad-band internet to the region.
