New program to support mental health awareness
The Canadian Mental Health Association is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of mental health issues.
Executive Director of the Mid-Island Branch, Jason Harrison says the goal of the Bounce Back campaign is to encourage people to watch out for mental health issues in themselves and their friends.
He says they want to encourage people to reach out if they or someone they know needs help.
Harrison says being aware of the early signs of depression or anxiety will hopefully lead to people seeking help early.
