The Comox Fire Training Centre has made some changes to conserve water.
Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says a new water recovery system has been installed to allow the department to recycle water and capture rain water to use in training scenarios. He says it’s a great way for the department to reduce their environmental footprint.
Schreiner says they are estimating they will save about a million litres of water a year by using the water recovery system. He says this will help save water in the Comox Valley.
