Road work on Duncan Avenue in Courtenay

The city of Courtenay is beginning a water-main replacement project this week.

Manager of Transportation and Utilities Craig Perry says the work will be done on Duncan Avenue between 4th and 6th streets.

Perry says there will be some road closures, with traffic control personnel on-site.

Perry says sidewalks will be open and there will be access to the businesses on Duncan Avenue in downtown Courtenay. He notes there will be disruptions to delivery to the businesses while the work is underway. He says they’re hoping to have the work done within the next 3 weeks.
