Repairs to be done on Rotary Riverside Trail

City crews are set to start work to repair on the Rotary Riverside Trail.

A portion of the trail has been closed since February after erosion led to concerns about the stability of the trail and stairway.

Manager of Parks Mike Kearns says section of trail will be moved more inland to provide more stability. He says the existing staircase will be left in place but decommissioned and a new set of stairs will be built more inland from the existing shoreline staircase.

The work is getting underway this week and is expected to take two to three weeks to complete.
