New trades equipment at NIC

Trades students across the North Island are benefiting from an investment in new technology at North Island College.

The Province has provided $187,000, which was used to purchase new equipment for the electrician, heavy mechanical, and welding programs.

Instructor Chris Udy says having up-to-date equipment makes a big difference for the students in their training.

Comox Valley MLA Don McRae says having up-to-date equipment in training programs are important for communities across the North Island.
