New Courtenay turf field ready to go !

Official opening ceremonies for the 1.4-million dollar G.P. Vanier Turf Field will be held this weekend.

Comox Valley Regional District Senior manager of recreation facilities Darcy Walters says construction on the jointly funded project kicked off back in the late spring of this year, adding the project is on time, and on budget.

Walters says no doubt this state of the art facility will get plenty of use on a year round basis…

The grand opening of the new turf field at Vanier in Courtenay is set for this Saturday, September 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. Everybody is welcome to come out and check out the new facility.
