Taking a look at transit in the Comox Valley

BC Transit is looking at services in the Comox Valley through the Frequent Transit Corridor Study.

Spokesperson Maria Lockley says there are some changes being discussed for transit in the region.

Lockley says they would like to add new transit routes that would connect with key centres like Driftwood Mall and North Island College.

She notes there aren’t many corridors on Ryan Road and Lerwick Road in Courtenay. She says they want to make sure transit is as easily accessible as possible without being a deterrent to residents.

The final study will be presented to the CVRD board this Winter.
