Oyster River Fire Department looking for volunteers

The Oyster River fire department is recruiting volunteers. An information session is being held tonight at the fire hall. Fire Chief Bruce Green says being a fire fighter is a rewarding experience.

He notes they’re looking for people that are relatively fit and are very willing to give back to the community. Green says being a volunteer firefighter requires a major time commitment.

He says there are a lot of pros of being a firefighter – specifically in giving back to the community.

The info session runs from 7 to 9 PM at the Oyster River fire hall.
