New transit program for seniors

A new volunteer program is being set up to help seniors use the transit system.

Vince Van Tongeren with the Comox Valley Regional District says the goal is to have people available to help those who may want to try transit. He says this will help make it easier for people who are not familiar with the transit system.

Van Tongeren says they are looking for people to serve as volunteers with the program. Those interested can contact Comox Valley Senior Peer Support.
