North Island College development wins award

An online science lab developed at North Island College has won silver at an international competition.

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Randall Heidt says he wasn’t surprised the lab won silver. Heidt says this is a great way to show that NIC can develop world-class technology at its campuses.

Heidt says the lab was developed in 2003 to allow students in remote communities to access science labs and conduct experiments.

The lab won silver at the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics Awards of Excellence.
