The government is taking steps to ensure the safety and protection of foster children across the province.
Children and Family Development Minister Stephanie Cadieux says a recent report found that 250 kids were victims of sexualized violence over the last 4 years.
She notes there are rigorous standards to determine if someone is fit to care for a child.
She adds they have revised protocols to respond to allegations of harm or poor quality of care for a child in the foster care system.
