Survey being done on challenges students face

A phone survey is being done on Vancouver Island on some of the challenges when it comes to accessing post-secondary education. Port McNeill Mayor Shirley Ackland voiced the phone survey.

She says it’s part of the ongoing Open the Doors Campaign by the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators. Ackland says it’s comprised of faculty around the province that recognize the problems students are facing.

Ackland says the feedback will be sent to the Minister of Advanced Education to highlight some of the challenges facing students.
