Premier announces Vancouver Island-specific platform for 2017

The Premier is starting to think about what the next four years should look like, specifically for Vancouver Island. Christy Clark has announced the Party will be developing a region-specific platform for Vancouver Island in the coming months.

Clark says the Island is an integral part of British Columbia’s economy.

Clark notes an economic investment plan will be created that will focus on how jobs are created and utilized on Vancouver Island.

Comox Valley MLA Don McRae has been tasked with leading the effort to produce a specific set of commitments from the party for Vancouver Island for the next election.

The decision to craft a platform specific to Vancouver Island came out of a year long consultation exercise with Liberal members throughout the province.
