RCMP reminding people to be safe during Halloween weekend

If you’re heading out to Halloween parties this weekend, the RCMP are urging you to be extra careful on the roads. Constable Rob Gardner says there will likely be a lot of people out and about tonight, so it’s important everyone is careful.

He says if you have a darker costume, make sure you’re visible to drivers, and if you are driving, ensure you’re not wearing a mask as it could obstruct your view.

Gardner adds that if you plan on celebrating, make sure you also plan a safe ride home.

Gardner says drivers should use extra caution tonight as there will likely be more people out and about and they may be hard to see if they are wearing dark costumes.
